Light Study

GameBoy is the most recognizable handheld console of all time. For many — the first encounter with gaming. For others — an icon of design. We made it our way. Because we could. For the 35th anniversary, we created a full 3D animation where the classic form meets contemporary minimalism. The transparent shell reveals every detail. The red buttons and dials? They simply look good — they don’t have to mean anything. In the slot, the legendary Dragon Ball Z cartridge — few things capture the spirit of the late ’80s and early ’90s better. In the background, a synthwave soundtrack sets the tone. Final look? RGB shift, film grain, and controlled trails — all crafted to give the image a subtly analog feel, without relying on pre-made retro filters. Nostalgia? Yes. But on our terms.
